MOLT RECOVERY – HERMIT CRAB FOOD MIX

Our Post-Molt Recovery Hermit Crab Food Mix is an excellent choice to provide for your hermit crabs, but it’s especially great for post-molt land hermit crabs when they need foods high in protein, calcium, and carotenoids after molting. The mix contains finely ground sterilized egg shells, dehydrated organic egg whites and yolks, and organic bee pollen.

Eggs are often considered a “superfood” because they are a rich source of many nutrients, including protein, vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats.

Egg whites and egg yolks naturally provide essential vitamins and minerals – many of which are hard to get from other foods. Some particular standouts include Choline, Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin D3, Vitamin B12, Vitamin E, Iron, Vitamin K2, Biotin, Antioxidants Lutein and Zeaxanthin, which are critical carotenoids hermit crabs require.

Finely ground eggshells are a great source of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, selenium, strontium, and traces of sodium, potassium, zinc, manganese, iron, and copper.

Bee pollen is also a superb superfood for molting recovery. Bee pollen is naturally packed with vitamins, minerals, and amino acids like histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine, which can boost the nutrition of your hermit crab’s molting recovery. These amino acids are vital for growth, health, digestion, and nutrient absorption. Bee pollen contains more than 100 enzymes, nearly a dozen carotenoids, and many amino acids, minerals, and vitamins B, C, and E.

Bee pollen also contains other nutrients, including:

Carbohydrates: Bee pollen contains carbohydrates, which are a source of energy.

Lipids: Bee pollen contains lipids, including essential fatty acids like linoleic, archaic, and γ-linoleic acids.

Phenolic compounds: Bee pollen contains phenolic compounds, including flavonoids, catechins, leukotrienes, and phenolic acids
